Freedom MonthA common connection that Black Americans have is that we are descendants of enslaved Africans. On June 19 (Juneteenth), we honor and uplift our ancestors who endured the great sin of America on this day and celebrate a legacy of freedom in a plethora of creative ways. Most importantly, we give thanks to the Creator and Servant Messiah, the true Grantor of freedom for all!
Celebrate Freedom throughout the month of June and beyond with Common Connections Foundation by perusing some thoughtful weekly suggestions. |

Block clubs are no longer distant memories. Our elders have shown us what it looks like to care for our homes, our neighborhoods and community - the people who live next door, across and down the street, around the corner and even across town! Common Connections Foundation has found this very sentiment in East End CARES Block Club! United together, there is no limit to the good we can do to serve others and care for our community. We are excited to work continually in the spirt of collaboration and grow in our aligned mission. East CARES Block Club's mission: We are the CARING neighbors of East End Avenue, working together in the spirit of service and neighborly love for the vitality of our community. |
